The ArcelorMittal USA Inc. VEBA Retiree Drug Plan (the "Plan") is a Plan under the ArcelorMittal USA Inc. VEBA Master Trust, a Trust Fund.
The fund was originally established pursuant to the 2002 Labor Agreement between International Steel Group, Inc. ("ISG") and the United Steelworkers ("USW") to provide benefits for certain eligible retirees (including surviving spouses and their eligible dependents) of steel companies that were subsequently acquired by ISG.
The VEBA was established to assist the retirees who were directly affected by the bankruptcies of the following companies:
The VEBA offers a generous prescription drug plan which is considered Creditable Coverage under Medicare Part D. In the past, the VEBA has also offered a Medicare Part B Reimbursement Benefit, which reimburses retirees who are enrolled in Medicare Part B a portion of their premiums.
